Alabama Power’s partnership with Birmingham Promise was recently highlighted in a story on the Alabama News Center website. And the partnership is huge! The Alabama Power Foundation has contributed $4 million since 2020 to support Birmingham Promise programs, and Alabama Power Company has been a key player in Birmingham Promise from the beginning.
“The Alabama Power Foundation and Alabama Power have been foundational partners in our efforts,” Samantha Williams, our executive director, said in the story. “Not only has the foundation provided millions of dollars that we’ve used to support high school graduates, Alabama Power has also been incredible employers to our student interns. We are grateful to have Alabama Power staff members on our board, as parents of Promise students, and as mentors in our internship program. We would not be where we are today without the unwavering commitment of Alabama Power and the Alabama Power Foundation!”
