Personal background: I attended A.H Parker High School, class of 2011. My hobbies include shopping and traveling in my spare time. I have a 10 year old daughter named Hannah Marie. I have a passion for serving my community and have been a community organizer for many years now.
Professional background: My major in college was political science and history. I am also a graduate of the Birmingham School of Law class of 2022. In my last role, I was the Alabama State Coordinator for Black Voters Matter Capacity Institute.
Best college/career advice you ever received: Never quit. You might fail or feel like you are lost during your journey, but the goal is to complete the journey. The years will pass; the question will always be what are you doing to get ahead while they do.
Advice you WISH you had received: I wish I had received more advice earlier on about college. I never really dreamed about nor was guided in the process of selecting a college. I wish I had received advice about how to progress in college.
Best part about your job at Birmingham Promise: The best part about my job at Birmingham Promise is being able to envision and build an internship program that students will enjoy and gain knowledge in the process.
